it’s inevitable
the winds, faster than we’re “used to”, the water, “warmer than it used to be”
the government, finally shrunk to the size Grover Norquist dreamed about, so small it could be drowned in the bath tub
only that tub may be 4 feet high and covering 30% of Florida
when the winds come howling and the waters rise and seek “shelter” on (what was once) dry land
and the buildings and roads and utility lines and street lights and everything else
gets battered about
it will make for a sad, complex series of phone calls when DeSantis (Or whoever) comes calling, asking for the “tax and spend” government they so longed to kill
to suddenly reawaken just for them
FEMA is “different” now; small towns all across the South, or rural communities in the middle of America, without county or state funds to just “cover it all”
will be in for some hard times
this is inevitable
if Mango-Lardo gets hit by a hurricane, the US Navy will be there in 5 minutes
if a small town in Central Arkansas or North Dakota gets hit by a tornado or a disastrous flood, well “hate it for ya”, do the best you can
or move
this is the world they wanted and, my guess, it will not be the world (later on) they like
Already the housing market in Florida is collapsing.
This is going to be so bad… especially because we’re expecting a long hurricane season this year.
